What is Markdown?

A simple, easy to learn text based system that can easily be converted to HTML, Rich Text, and other computer friendly format options.

I use it daily in Obsidian, Bear.app, and with with AI.

Simplicity: Uses simple punctuation characters to format text. For example ** bold ** becomes bold.
Readability: Remains readable even in its raw form, so it's not too distracting to read. Many apps hide it well, too.
Convertibility: Can be easily converted to HTML and other formats like RTF, which word processors love.
Platform-independent: Works across different operating systems and applications
AI uses it natively so if you write in Markdown, you don't have to convert you notes. Your notes can go straight in to AI queries, as is.
