Evernote
Evernote was my first serious note taking app that i started using in 2008, when it came out.
I really loved it and poured lots of hours into it, amassing over 15k notes, half of which were outside web clippings.
It suffered from feature bloat, did not fully support markdown, my favorite way to write, and I started using Bear.app and then Obsidian, which became my true PKM knowledge base, and is the idea hoard for my Digital Garden quick-publishing platform I started in 2025.
